b2evolution is good blogging framework and it works excellent. I am not comparing it from wordpress but it is excellent framework. Installation process is not very easy . Admin panel or dashboard's interface is easy and but not looks excellent . sits home page looks great or i must say it looks sleek and stunning . I feel very happy when i saw its home page.

Pligg - Create social networking site using pligg

Using pligg you can create social networking website in few minutes with all features. Installation is easy . Navigation is easy. Yes template and looks are not excellent but good. Admin panel contains large number of options with easy navigation. And cms is enabled so admin can change almost every thing.                     

User can also feed news and other things. This is pligg's admin panel image. large number of options available here from which you can easily navigate and configure your social networking site. This is pligg's site image . I don't like this layout. this is not best professional layout but the features pligg provides makes me very happy and excited.

mediawiki is excellent php framework which gives you professional result. I like its look however if you need extensive tutorial you need to download it from above url. In tutorial they guide you how to add pages, how to add login page as starting page of your wiki site , how to change logo, how to create and install theme of mediawiki.

pmwiki is not very popular php framework in wiki. I have checked that its layout or front end is not good. It looks like college project.However this framework provide help that how to navigate with wiki type frame work that is good thing to start.
this is good wiki framework that gives you enough tutorial to start doing configuration but i am also tell you that look of this framework is normal.

This is simple wikipedia frame work of php . You need to download , unzip and paste under your web folder . Now installation is complete. So simple isn't . If you want to create wiki site you should check dokuwiki atleast once . If you need any help you can mail me or check documentation on primary link Because handling navigation in wiki framework is different than other kind of framework.

elgg - create excellent social networking site using elgg

I have installed elgg it is great framework with not excellent or good looking front end or you can simple say just ok type front end. But it has large option in its control panel to control its user and very easy to install and navigate. Excellent framework if you want to create social networking site please try this once. I think you will never disappoint.
